Alert for tonight's LIRR commute out of Penn
I just received this alert:
During this evening's peak period at Penn Station, there may be temporary entry restrictions at the 34th Street and Seventh Avenue entrances due to crowded conditions, especially during the busiest departure times -- between 5 PM and 6:30 PM. Customers in Manhattan may wish to postpone eastbound travel until after 6:30 PM if possible.

Trains were a nightmare this morning with overcrowding. I can just imagine what tonight is going to look like.

DH is on the Ronkonoma train and he said they are packed in like sardines. He got to Penn early to get on and was lucky to get on the train.
