Ale's Birthday Party Review at Le Play Cafe
Ale’s 4th Birthday and Party were last Friday, June 10. We had such a great day, and nice weather too!! She had a party on Wednesday in her Spanish class in the morning, and in the afternoon at her Pixie class. A family dinner and cake party on Thursday, and then her “kiddie” party on Friday. What a crazy week!! This is a review of her Kiddie Party -
Elizabeth Kristin Photography: : I won a special rate on their facebook page so instead of doing portraits, I asked Liz if she would come to Ale’s party. She agreed wholeheartedly. Liz was the first to arrive and the last to leave. She spent all her time taking mostly candid shots, and never took a break. I have seen a few teasers and they are great!!! Can’t wait to see the photos, I am sure they are amazing. I would recommend Liz to anyone!!
Le Play Café: First I’d like to say how impressed I was by the cleanliness and organization of Katrina and Mike, the owners. We had 24 children and 27 adults. Somehow they were able to keep everyone happy, and all the kids seemed to have so much fun. 2 people supervised and helped out in the play area. They were also wiping down or removing any items that went into mouths or needed to be cleaned. The kids were able to play dress-up, sail a pirate boat, go down slides, you name it. They had a Tinkerbell movie playing and fairy wings for everyone to wear.
While the little ones were playing (ages 2 to 5), the adults could watch over the half-wall, or they could have some snacks that we brought in. Since Zorn’s is right next door, I had them deliver a platter of chicken appetizers, and a tray of cheeses, fruits and crudités with dip. We also brought in our own cooler with drinks for the adults. Le Play Café can also provide these items but I love Zorn’s so decided to do it on my own. Soda was also available for the adults.
The children were served pizza and juice. How they got all the kids served so quickly was quite a feat! Then came the cake, which I got from BJs. Normally I would have gotten the cake from Dortoni but with such a large group it would have been incredibly expensive, even with my niece’s discount. It was good, very pretty. People seemed to like it.
No candy bar (my daughter already has had a cavity filled), no goodie bags, just a kite for each child to take home. Le Play Café gave Ale 2 sets of wings, which was so sweet of them. A lot of the guests were saying how they had never been there before, and they really liked it and plan to go back over the summer. So I think the party was a big success!!

that's great! Le Play Cafe is very nice and I"m glad they put on a nice party too. I'll keep it in mind for next year.

Sounds fun! Glad you had a great day. I didn't know you could bring in your own food/drinks. I thought it had to be ordered through Le Play Cafe.

Glad to hear all turned out well.
My cousin recently had her daughter's birthday party there and we had a great time. It was my first and only time there but I thought it was fantastic.

The party was really fun. It was my first time there and I can't wait to go back for open play. It was SO clean and it was so nice that everything was new and not grungy like a lot of play places are.
