Alex loves daddy more than mommy
So, this morning she said her first word, and NO, it wasn't "mama", "mommy", or "ema" (hubby is Israeli and we're trying to speak hebrew to her. I keep saying "Ema" which is mommy in hebrew, and hubby keeps saying "Aba" which is daddy in hebrew). So, this morning she woke up and she was babbling away. Hubby goes to get her and starts saying "Aba". She looks at him very intently and then says "Aba"! And then she kept repeating it all morning!!! And that's the thanks I get??! HMPH.

That is really, really early for a first word.
The "b" sound is much easier than the "m" sound if that makes you feel any better.

awww - that is so cute. We also call DH Abba - and I kind of always figured that would be Talia's first word since I read that the B sound is fairly easy for them to make when they start talking.

Re: Alex loves daddy more than mommy
They usually end up saying the da da first...sounds like it's just easier for them to say. I wouldn't get to upset over it sweetie. she'll say ema soon...

No, it doesn't And of all days for her to say it! He didn't even spend any time with her yesterday because he claims he pulled his back carrying her!

GOOD POINT! I'm calling "Abba" today and telling him just that! That will take the stupid little smirk off his face in a second!!

Jack only speaks to his food so feel lucky! lol
I'm expecting a true DaDa any day now once he gets back in town. He's 8 month and I think he has been just waiting for him to get back to make his day.
