Alimentum Users

How long did it take for you to see a difference in your DC? We went to the ped yesterday because DD has been so fussy. At first the ped just thought she was colicky but then she touched her stomach and it was rock hard. DD has alot of gas even though she was on the Prosobee so the ped gave me some samples of alimentum to try. We started it last night and that formula smells something wicked. DD took the formula right away but last night she threw up so much....she never threw up like that before. Is that normal? How long before everyone saw a difference.

Also I know you may be able to get it covered by your insurance but I want to give it some time to work before I try. Where is the cheapest place to buy. The ped kept saying how expensive the formula was which honestly as long as DD feels better right now I don't care. TIA

It took 2/3 days and we saw a difference. I would wait it out to see if this agrees with her and then take it to insurance.

As for getting it, I would ask your ped for some samples...that is where I got mine and then i would use similac checks and purchase them.

With us and Gentlease it took about a week before we noticed results.

Nutramigen - 3 -4 days for slight improvement. 2 - 3 weeks for totally new baby

We saw a difference within 24 hrs when we put DD on Alimentum. I think Babies r Us was cheapest but Stop n SHop wasnt bad.
