all body skin care
What's your skin care regime for your body (not just face and neck)? How often do you put on lotion, etc? I never do it b/c I'm just too cold after getting out of a shower, but I should really start doing something!

I really don't unless I notice my skin looks or feels dry or itchy. Like you I find it uncomfortable to lotion up my whole body daily

Yeah plus it's cold, too. Like leaving a hot shower and then slathering on cream isn't pleasant for me.
I do lotion up my feets, though.

I like to use a scrub or dry bristle brush because I get so dry And if I don’t use body lotion, I get so dry and itchy. So I try to put lotion on before I get dressed and after a shower.

How does the dry bristle work? When/how do you use it?

Re: all body skin care
I use lotion often. It's good to keep your skin hydrated. I just use a good body lotion. I do use a scrub in the shower and make sure to lotion as soon as I get out after I dry off. I'm always cold too though, but right after I lotion I get dressed. Definitely work on my legs and arms the most. elbows too. I have a few lotions though. Summer I like lotion with more aloe and winter lotions for dry and cracked skin. Seems to work, but I haven't had any issues.
I make my boys use it too bc they get dry skin in the winter. Especially my 9 yr old gets eczema on his legs.

I exfoliate once or twice a week and lotion up head to toe after every shower, so twice a day.

Maybe 1-2 a week I use this natural bristle brush and before I go in the shower, I massage in circles just to help with dry flaky skin
My skin gets super dry in the winter I think it’s our heat but this helps. Then I moisturize after.

I like the idea of doing it dry before a shower. I may try that. I get very dry and itchy on my legs

Re: all body skin care
I use luberderm on my legs and feet every day after the shower and a scented lotion from bath and body everywhere else.
When I’m extra dry, I use an in shower lotion. Jergens brand. It works very well

I use Weleda body butter nightly. I keep it in the shower so it’s not so cold. I put it on still damp.

Re: all body skin care
i believe that i'm one of LIF's elder members lol
i've noticed that my skin is starting to get crepe-y and i hate it. i have been lotioning up much more often.
i had been using vaseline intensive care and found that it was leaving a bit of a film and not being absorbed into my skin. i asked for recommendation from my weight loss group and these are the suggestions i received.
* jergens skin firming * neutrogena body oil * lubriderm * alba * aveeno * jergins shea butter * cerave * cetaphil * gold bond * josie maran whipped argan oil body butter
and then they repeat.
i'm finding that putting lotion on every single day, drinking all my water, getting quality sleep, and eating healthy fats has made a big difference. i'm softer and lest crepe-y.
