Whose making money on the vaccines?
Whose making money on testing?

This is all about money at this point.

I’ve always thought there should be a ‘cure’ for cancer or more progress but it’s true….these companies make more money keeping people sick. Healthy people don’t make pharmaceutical companies money.

I don't know all the answers, but I do know that we can't keep losing more and more people, and living our lives like we have for the past 18 months.

I can understand hesitancy to get young children vaccinated for Covid. Reasonable people can and should take pause, look at the data, speak to their ped, etc.

But it's mind boggling how some people aren't willing to do ANYTHING to end this.

Pushback on masks. Pushback on the vaccine for adults, which while not perfect is preventing millions of deaths around the world. Pushback on staying home. Pushback on testing, even.

Enough with the nonsense and at least try to do the right thing.

One or two people on here have insisted they really believe some people love the masks and want to wear them forever. Well, I'm starting to think some people love Covid and don't want this to go away.

No, I'm not still staying home. I'm vaccinated and living my life while still taking common sense precautions - washing my hands, masking while in crowded indoor places, etc.

I'm talking about the people who push back on everything or most things.

For example, I know someone who is adamant about not being vaccinated but she is still minimizing going out and wearing a mask when she does. She is considerate of others and trying to stop the spread. No problem.

I'm talking about the people who don't want to do ANYTHING to make this better. No masks, no staying home, no vaccine, etc. There are a few people on here - I won't name them, they know who they are - but I am speaking in general. Those people sound so foolish. Grow up and at least try to be part of the solution.

Most people have been doing the things for 19 months...stay home, wash hands, mask up, social distance, vaccinated and yet here we are at the point where people are losing their jobs for not wanting to inject themselves with a shot that doesn't even work.

Vaccines have been rolled out for months and 70% of the population is vaccinated yet the virus is still here, infecting the vaccinated and unvaccinated alike yet the government thinks the end to this is mandating more vaccinations. It's absolutely about control.

Our government and health officials are all over the place on this pandemic. They say one thing and then another happens...how are people supposed to trust them?? The Biden administration a few months ago said that they would not be mandating the vaccine because that should not be something the federal government should be doing yet here we are.

For some people, including federal employees now, testing is not an option. One of my friends pushed back so hard, she was willing to get tested and her job said no, jab or leave...how is that a choice?? How is that OK?

Your post doesn't address what I wrote, but whatever, I don't think a back and forth is worth it. I stand by my statement - if you (general you) aren't willing to do ANYTHING to make this stop for the greater good, you're a jerk.

The vaccine does work. Perhaps not as well against the Delta variant, but it's clearly preventing death and long haul symptoms in the large majority of people who get it. There is also evidence that it reduces transmission - no, it doesn't eliminate it, but no one ever said it would. If every adult got vaccinated, then we could probably all get back to normal because then most people's symptoms would be mild and it would more closely resemble a "typical" virus. That's obviously not going to happen so the LEAST people can do is put on a mask but no, you have people yelling and cursing at teenagers at school board meetings because people might have to put a piece of cloth over their face (gasp!)

Our selfishness as a society will be the end of us for sure.

Exactly! You have a high percentage of people who are vaccinated and a good majority of people wearing masks yet here we are, 19 months later still in the same position. Either the COVID prevention measures are not effective or this virus is being used to control people. Either way people are applying their critical thinking skills to all of this and questioning these mandates as they absolutely should be.

Yeap. Let’s not forget these pharmaceutical companies are the same exact ones that make other vaccines. That should be a clue right there. Well Moderna is a newbie cause this is their first “vaccine”. I love when Biden said today...”vaccines” are free.... Sure they are .

Administration officials acknowledged the requirement for large employers could be challenged in court. But they said their hope was to provide cover of federal rules to businesses who want to require vaccines for employees.

One of our employees put their 2 weeks in for a work from home job for a major medical company. They require not only a physical but also that you are vaccinated. My only guess is because of health Insurance?
I asked the employee and they have no clue and didn’t think to even ask because they are already vaccinated.

This virus is endemic. It will never go away. This vaccine doesn’t offer sterilizing immunity. It only offers personal protection. Israel is proof of this with close to 90 percent of the population vaccinated and continued outbreaks. These are facts , not opinions. This makes mandates all the more insane.

I think he was too premature in saying we were well on our way to defeating this back in late June/early July. I think the general message to whip off your mask and wave it up in the air and celebrate was too early.

But leaders are supposed to lead in difficult times, even if people don’t like it.

I still don’t think people fully grasp what’s happened. Maybe once it’s written in the history books, people will reflect more on it differently.

660k people dead., distrust of the media and the government, there’s a vaccine from the same people who churn out meds that everyone takes without question and people chose to take ... farm animal medicine.

MrsA - I don’t want to quote because I know the boxes get too long. I somewhat agree with endemicity. I do think science is fluid and I can see where covid wipes people out and then becomes like a common cold one day. I know what you mean about the older people, but it’s still worrisome to me at least. I rather have older folks pass away from regular old age and not this horrible virus. Not saying you do, obviously, but it seems like such a brutal way to go.
