All I can say is that kids are scary!
I'm teaching summer school and I'm completely shocked at some behavior I see. One child, completely disrupting the class by banging on his desk and making noises, refuses to leave the room after being told to stop about 3 times. Refuses. Will not budge. Shakes his said and says, "No. I don't want to."  It's not a choice. And there is NOTHING I can do. So, if he's saying no to me, how is he at home? And a 7 year old girl rolling her eyes at me because I told her to take out paper... Wow...I wouldn't even dream of that.

I've had the eye rolling too. When you were younger, would you EVER roll your eyes at a teacher?

No!!!!! And all it took was one note or phone call home. Never again.

OMG are you teaching my class???
They are HORRIBLE!!
First, I can NOT believe how many kids failed 6th grade English. It is nuts!
Then, to behave so rudely. They don't care if you call home, they don't care if they fail, I don't know what it is that they do care about!
I hate it. I don't know if I will ever teach summer school again.

Some of my teaching buddies have called home for such behavior and have been cursed out by the mom!

Wanna hear the kicker??? It's not summer school as in they failed...their parents are PAYING!!!!! The attitude is horrible.

Get out! I guess they're just p*ssed that they have to go. Are the parents supportive? Also, how many more days will you have to get through?

3 more weeks. 3 more weeks. 3 more weeks. It can't come soon enough, but I don't want to wish my summer away either, kwim?

If I ever rolled my eyes at a teacher, my mother would have slapped my head off my shoulders and rolled it on the floor. She was one tough broad and you didn't even THINK of doing anything disrespectful to a teacher or WATCH OUT!!! It was better you got hit by a bus on the way home and run over a few times. Believe me!
