All inclusives in the Cancun area
Has anyone been to: Playacar Palace Occidental Xcaret Moon Palace Paradisus Riviera
We are traveling with DS (he is 20 months) and would like to stay in an all-inclusive. We picked the Cancun area since I will be 6 months pregnant and do not want to travel to to remote an area.
If you have been to any of these places, or have other recommendations, please let me know. Since this is next month, we sort of need to move on this! We would like something a little more "upscale" and were hoping for at least a Jr. suite or something similar. My mom is a travel agent and recommended these place.
Thanks!

Re: All inclusives in the Cancun area
Never been to those, but I've heard from several people that the Club Med resort in Cancun is amazing - they underwent a total renovation last year, and apparently it looks phenomenal, and I've always ALWAYS been very impressed with the food, daycare and activities at the Club Med's we've been to...

we're staying at a palace resort next month in cancun too, but we're staying at the sun palace but it's adults only, after much research we went with the palace resorts, you can stay at one and play at all of them!!

Re: All inclusives in the Cancun area
We have stayed at the Moon Palace. My parents are actually on their way there right now. It is BEAUTIFUL! Moon Palace is not right on the strip but it is nice... kind of spread out but so much to do and see!! This is by far our favorite place ever!

Re: All inclusives in the Cancun area
I stayed at one of the palaces - I think the Sun Palace in Cancun years ago. It was okay and the food wasn't great but from what I remember the Moon Palace was much nicer. PLus you can go to all the different palace hotels and eat there and go on their beaches, if it's still the same.

Re: All inclusives in the Cancun area
We stayed at Paradisus and we really liked it. The place is beautiful and I think there was some things for kids to do (I always saw them doing things). The food was ANAZING!! However, the beach wasn't as nice as I had hoped for. In that stretch (Riveria Maya) there is a bit of a seaweed issue. Most days it was cleaned up and you never noticed, but some afternoons it got bad again. Someone told us that Tulum which is south of that area (maybe 30 min south??) has beautiful beaches so that might be worth checking into also!!

We actually spent part of our honeymoon at Palace resort's aventura spa palace. It's a no kids resort but all of their resorts are beautiful and as the PP mentioned- stay at one and play at all of them! I know someone who stayed at moon palace and LOVED it. We visited XpuHa (sp?) which is a different palace resort and I said if I was ever going to go back w/ kids (someday ) that I would stay there- they had animals around the place (caged in big areas that you could see thru plexi glass and stuff) but beautiful! The rooms looked like little huts but were supposedly nice inside and you could ride bikes to get from your room to the main lobby area... might be worth checking out. Though moon palace is supposed to be great too--we just never got to stop there.
