All this talk about Beaches....vacation ???

What vacations do you have planned for the upcoming year?

Are you bringing your DC?

We are going to my parents summer house in Savannah - in April. Just the three of us (and the dog) -- can't wait!

Then we are going back for July 4th week - with my entire family (about 18 of us - --and the dog of course!)

Then in August we are going to Italy for a week. With DS (no dog on this trip! )

What do you all have planned?

Dh and I have been talking about this...we've decided to put some money away each paycheck and plan a 2009 Disney vacation. So we've got plenty of time.

I am taking my ds to Italy for 3 weeks in June to visit family.... I was also hoping to plan a family vaca on the beach maybe Turks and Caicos for the summer???

We are going on a cruise in June with DD... we can't wait! (our 1st big vacation since our HM) . We are looking into Disney for the fall, also with DD.
Next year we are thinking to go to Beaches Turks and Caicos.

Let the saving begin!

As a perk of my job I get access to the company vacation homes. So, this year we are using their house in Charleston for a week in July. We are bringing the baby, my family, and DH's family. I'm starting to think it might not be a good idea to commingle so hoping they'll split the week.

We're going to Boston for a weekend in June for a wedding without the baby.

I also want to go on a vacation with DH but since he is a teacher we're limited to the summer. Maybe a cruise or something. If we bring the baby I will probabyl also recruit some family to come with us too. SIL and I also want to go for a quickie vacation for 3 or 4 days within the next few month without the baby and without my DH. We'll see, but all of these vacation posts have me REALLY wanting to go somewhere.

Our vacation plans for Disney in February and Aruba in July were cancelled when we found out we were PG and DD was due in June...

Disney was cancelled because of how sick I was and we werent sure how I would be feeling...

So, next year we will be going to Aruba!! BUT, I have the entire summer off, which will be like a vacation

Me, Florida...March for 2wks. DD is coming with us. Staying at inlaws condo, with them. Should be fun and Im hearing lots of warmth and sunshine there.

We are taking DD for her first trip to see the Mouse (WDW) with my parents in September/October.

DH and I want to do a long weekend trip with DD somewhere in the late spring or early summer not too far away - not sure where yet - We open for some suggestions - we are thinking about the Cape, Lancaster/Hershey, Washington DC.

were thinking small this yr and bigger next yr when DS is bigger.

I was thinking of WDW this Oct but am gonna wait till next yr I think.

This yr we are gonna hopefully go to Boston ( me and Dh only) in the next month, and Then New Hope PA with DS for a long weekend before Spring.

If we end up deciding to do WDW this yr then I wanna do Beaches after seeing all the reviews next spring.

We are going to Disney in 5 days with my parents, bro and his kids-obviously bringing DD

We are throwing my mom a 60th bday part in Atlantic City in May/June and DD will be coming.

In July we are planning on going to Ocean City Md-DD will be coming

In November we are planning on possibly going to Beaches Turks & Caicos and DD will be coming.

I can't leave her at this point since I EBF and to be honest I don't want to

Headed to Ft. Myers for a week in March - no DS.

Other than that no concrete plans yet.

So far we have a cruise in May, Maine in August and maybe Disney in Oct.

Mid April - Puerta Vallarta - no kids
Beginning of May - New Orleans - no kids.

First time in YEARS that we've been away without the kids.

Other potential vacations are

-Manhattan weekends with or without kids. (corporate apartment)
-Montauk weekend with kids (friend's house)
-maybe a summer trip to Georgia with the kids for cousin's wedding
- kids will probably go to Grandma's house for a week, while we stay in NY & hyperventilate over all of the potential dangers Florida has to offer.

November- Anniversary trip (no kids)

We are going to Atlantis in October and taking both kids with us. We will probably spend a couple of long weekends out east, Orient and Montauk. Maybe a summer trip to Dutchwonderland.
