All this talking about kids going back to school....
... when you were a kid, were you excited about going back to school in the fall, or was I the only geek?
Everytime fall rolls arund, I get that same feeling of excitement... it always felt like new beginnings, new experiences... like, what will this school year bring?
I always loved coming back to school....
Now, by the time christmas rolled around, it was another story, but that 1st day of school always rocked!!!

I always loved going back to school too! I loved going shopping for new school supplies. I still like the smell of Staples, reminds me of school!

When I was younger I loved going back. When I got to MS and HS, I wasn't as excited.
When I was a teacher, I dreaded it.

I hated back to school time. We didn't have money for new clothes and my mom would shop at the Salvation Army for us. One of my biggest fears was I'd be wearing someone's clothes they just donated.
It's funny now, but at the time..not so much

Loved going back to school!
Fresh new notebooks and supplies still have an affinity for stationary products. I know I'm weird.

At the end of the summer, I was bummed that the summer was ending but as the first day of school drew closer I'd get excited.
I loved going school clothes shopping and the first month or two of school was exciting.

yes, I loved going back! It was so exciting ! I loved getting new clothes and picking out the perfect 1st day of school outfit. Now as a teacher, I don't have quite the same feelings

Loved it!
I loved when I got my schedule in the mail and would call all my friends and see if we had any classes together!
In Elementary School--we would get the teacher assignment and get right on the phone to see who was in the class!
I also still LOVE school supplies!

There is nothing better than a new school year and new school supplies- pens, pencils, notebooks, etc..
Maybe that is why I became a teacher!

I'm with all the people who said they loved the fresh new school supplies. Even now, I love to look at the school supply aisles at the stores. I used to love the back to school season but now I get sad when summer ends and the days get shorter.

i loved school and i loved starting anew.
the part that i didn't like... we didn't have much money. i never got the cool school supplies. i always felt like a second-class citizen that i never had coo things.
since my son has such a hard time with school (learning disability), i try to make sure he always has cool supplies to encourage him. so far, it seems to work.
