yes leak from the roof but no because its really the heating pipe on the roof that had a few holes in the top and the side of it. My dad was able to get up on the roof today and caulk up the holes. We only found the leak this AM.

Re: All those with roofy leaks, raise your hands!!!
We are actually leaking in a few areas of course they are all the areas that were already painted....Our dining room had a little leak and a friend of our went up on the roof and nailed a tarp down, once they came in and dryed off we realized it was also leaking in the guest room (the other corner of the house) and we had our cousin a roofer come over and he said that the roof wasnt installed correctly, the singles were not staggered they were layed straight which is why the water is getting in and he patched that for us. This morning I woke up to the drip drip drip of water comming from the inside of my windows. Come to find out the new windows that the old homeowner installed incorrectly too.
So now I need a new roof, gutters, and have all the windows fixed before the winter since they are telling me it is going to a nightmare if I don't.
Someone actually told me to put in an insurance claim, I am not sure if it is worth while or not yet.
Please stop raining I dont know if my bank account can handle it anymore!!!!

Re: All those with roofy leaks, raise your hands!!!
We discovered a leak in our kitchen a while ago and then it stopped. We have a new roof and new siding so we thought it was the bathroom above. Started leaking 3 days ago and now we know it's b/c of all the wind and rain. The roof is fine on a regular rainy day but with the bad winds it's pushing the rain under the soffit outside and it is traveling down the plumbing from the bathroom. Don't know how we're gonna fix it. It ruined out sheetrock since so much water puddled there until it finally started dripping down my wall. We had to tear a big hole in our kitchen ceiling to release it.
....Ahhhhh, home ownership!

Re: All those with roofy leaks, raise your hands!!!
The roofers were at my moms house at 8 this morning to put on a new roof. She had a problem prior to all this rain and had been waiting for them and finally they are there. Unfortunately, she has bad water damage in her bedroom and might need a new ceiling in there because they took so long to come. She has been waiting over a month for them!!

Was up in the attic last weekend and saw there was a leak. Had roofers come in and look and we need a new roof.

Re: All those with roofy leaks, raise your hands!!!
I'm with you - I knew we would need a new roof soon, but I didn't realize how badly!
The wall in the bedroom is ruined and we just finished painting it GRRRRRR
The wall in the lving room has a huge wet spot and there is WATER dripping down in the den from the roof, behind the window and down the wall. It dripped onto our phone line and shorted out the modem (we have our service through cable!)
