All your advice, hints, tricks for traveling with three toddlers all under 4 please (international lengthy flight)...

Any advice for the parents on the flight, tricks toys the kids would like...should I really go out and buy a dvd player, how much are those?

No advice but for bravery.

I remember being on a 14hour when I was in college and there was a super-tough mom of toddler twins -- she kept giving them food and alternated which one could run up and down the aisles. I remember my friends and I commented on how impressed we were with her mothering skills.

I did a 4.5 hr flight with 2 toddlers - 2 times ..not three...but I will def give my 2 cents...lol...

I def rec a DVD player with all their fav shows and movies..it was a lifesaver .. My DD also had her vTech v-reader with 2 cartridges on the last trip and that kept her very busy as well...

New coloring books with crayons and stickers were also good..

I had a couple of trains ( he is obsessed with trains) so he had fun making tunnels with 2 cups and a napkin on top of the two...

My DD also had Princess and the frog magnetic paper doll This was a big hit..I wish I had one for my DS too..everything was magnetic so it stayed put and it closed up in it's own storage container

We also had travel match game cards...

The most popular was the variety of snacks...this kept them busy throughout the flight..they prob ate more snacks than they ever had...but hey...whatever works..I had usually snacks like pretzels, gold fish, animal crackers...but also special treats like lollipops and gummie bears...And m&ms

They also liked playing/eating with ice...I asked for a cup of ice and let them go to town..hahaha..

I have taken both of my kids back and forth from the UK to Long Island by myself, and its not THAT bad, I always bring my netbook with movies on it for Noah, and for Immi, I just bring lots of snacks, and little toys, and I just basically grin and bear it for the whole flight. A toddler is never going to sit still, so I just expect the worst and hope for the best!

If they all have their own seats, it won't be too bad...

The hardest part if you are travelling alone is getting your baggage and going through the arrivals gate on your own. Good luck!

If you have a bulkhead seat they can play on the floor, there is enough room. Also, we do a lot of walking up and down the aisles, thats always exciting for little kids. Also, if there are two of you, at least one of you can get a little break!
