Allergies & Meds
Does anyone w/ Allergies take Singulair?
If yes, what kind of side effects have you had, if any, and why do you have to take it at night?
It says it works for Asthma, but isn't a bit harsh to take asthma meds for allergies?
Thanks. I am new to allergies and am not educated on any of this...

Re: Allergies & Meds
I take singulair. I have allergies and mild asthma. Its just one of the ones I take in my aresenal of meds to avoid allergies and asthma symptoms. I have to say though since I have started taken it I haven't had any allergies symptoms. We'll see what happens in the spring, but so far so good and no side effects.

and the reason why to taking it at night? I have been having sinus infections monthly..and can't miss any more work and doc gave me singulair and i haven't taken it yet....

you know, I am not really sure why it has to be taken at night. I just take it before I go to bed.

Re: Allergies & Meds
I just took my first dose of singulair. it is used for asthma, but if you read the box it says it's for allergic rhinitis. I'm taking it in ADDITION to Zyrtec. I'm assuming you have to take it at night because it can cause drowsiness, that's the case with more allergy medications.
