Almost 6months, and running out of "play time" options

SO she is WAY over the swing, HATES tummy time, likes the jumper and play mat, sitting up and me walking around with her. What else can I do. We read books, walk inside and outside. I'm not that mobile right now so it's all in moderation. What does a 6month old like to do that will hold her attention for more then 5min, but doesn't include me walking, running all the time? I'm at a loss and feel like a bad mommyChat Icon

ds loves to play with blocks and roll balls back and forth on the floor. loves when I tickle him..can do that for hours!! I think really at this age they love us as their playmate..just interacting with them.

At that age, DS loved his exersaucer and play table like this:

Absolutely the Exersaucer

My DD also loved just being on her playmat (on of those foam floors) with toys around and she could discover them. We got the Leapfrog musical table at that time- good b/c you can take the legs off and have it on the floor for them to play with while sitting and then have legs on for when they are pulling to stand. Also, a bunch of plastic chewy things (rings, whatever) and she would just chew from one to the other. She also loves playing with books- softer ones that she can hold and chew too. Oh, I would also put DD in her FP infant to toddler rocker and bring her in kitchen with me. Give her spachula, measuring cup, etc. while I cleaned/cooked and she loved it and hung out. HTH!

Thanks Ladies!! I feel better now. I'm doing most of this stuff, but sometimes I feel like i'm just not doing enough. It's a weird age because they still need help, but are trying to be more independant. Plus she's teething so all she wants to do is suck on her hands or my thumbChat Icon
