already seeing double purchases on my registry

I'm so annoyed. I was peeking at my registry and noticed that they have sold 2 pack and plays and 2 infant-toddler car seats. What is wrong with people?! Chat Icon The first of these items had been purchased weeks ago, so people are just not paying attention. But of course, there are still alot of things left on the registy that I need, and they're the same price points. I know that Babies R' Us doesn't have the best return policy, but they better let me exchange this stuff since it's their mistake. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Maybe someone can remind your friends and family to inform the cashier that thier purchases are from your registry, so the item can be deleted off the list. its such a hassel to do returns.

Re: already seeing double purchases on my registry

Actually - when my cousin was pregnant I bought things off her babies r us registry and when I checked her website maybe 8 hours later - the things were not listed as "purchased." So I phoned the store and asked again that they be taken off her registry. Because I had asked twice: once at the register and once over the phone - they ran it through the computer twice.

So her registry was listed as my having bought two things - I think it was two pack n plays.

I wouldnt be surprised if that's what happened. Their computers are slow to adjust the regsitries.

BRU is easy to return things to unless it has changed. I returned a ton of stuff after my shower with no receipt, got a store credit with no headaches at all.

I had a similar problem with things ordered from a BRU registry. It had something to do with how I placed the item in the cart. Supposedly if I clicked to add to cart from the list it was taken off the registry, but if I clicked on the item details and then put it in the cart, it didn't recognize it.

As far as a registry showing two that were purchased that sounds like negligence.

I got a few things too, and made a funny comment at my shower...like "Im NOT having triplets"....they got a kick out of it.

It is ok, you just bring it back to the store and get what you want

More to return.. more $$ you can have for credit for diapers, wipes etc..

I know its a pain but they should take it back no problem..

especially since it was their fault!
