I freaked out after reading some newer and older posts. I cannot do this to her! I have GHI, my DH, Cigna and we both have to go to Quest. My Pediatrcian said St. Charles is GREAT, anyone ever go there? Maybe I should just use my out of network coverage--I have it and pay a percentage. Anything to make it better for my precious DD.

I would go the lab of whatever hospital your insurance covers. We have had nothing but good experiences using the hospital labs.

I wouldn't put the bloodwork totally off - they test for things that you need to know about like anemia.

ETA: I don't have any personal experience with St. Charles, all of our bloodwork was done at Good Sam.

Oh ok, you mean the labs in hospitals are covered for bloodwork under your hospial coverage (I have Blue Cross Blue Shiels), isn't blood work under medical though, not hospital?

Thanks for your reply:)

Yes, I think the labs would fall under your regular medical policy, but I think as long as the hospital itself is in your network, you would be covered. Maybe call your ins co and see what hospitals are covered. I know for us, Good Sam is considered in-network, so we get all bloodwork done there.
