am i being irrational? LONG VENT!
a quick history: as many of you know, last fall i had to terminate my pregnancy at 12 weeks because the baby had a HUGE cyst in his stomach and had pretty much no chance of surviving full term.
then, 2 weeks ago, i had a chemical pregnancy. or at least that's the theory. AF was about 3 days late, i got a positive pregnancy test and then the next day starting bleeding. i went to the dr and they did a beta and my level was 14  i went back a week later and they did an ultrasound and said everything looked "clear" and that it even looked like i was about to ovulate. (not that i'm allowed to get preggo right now but i was relieved that my body was doing what it was supposed to).
fast forward to today. i woke up at 4am and was bleeding bright red full flow blood again! i called the answering service for my doctor's office and left a message for the doctor on call to call back. it took her 2.5 HOURS to call back....i had to call them 3 times! when she called she said she was in the "middle of surgery" and was in a hurry. i told her what was going on and she told me "not to worry" but couldn't give any explanation as to WHY i'm randomly bleeding. i called back at 1:30 this afternoon b/c i was so nervous and she NEVER called back.
so, i just called again and she called me back within 10 minutes. she was so nasty from the beginning and said if i'm so worried then go to the ER. i asked her if she had any theories as to why i could be bleeding now and she said "i don't know anything about your case". i know my records are kept electronically at this practice so i asked her if there is any way she could access them from home. she said "i'm standing in my kitchen and that would require me to go to the other room and boot up my computer" WHAT?!?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?!??!?!  needless to say...i lost it...i started BAWLING and yelling and told her that i don't care how busy she is, she is the only doctor on call and it is HER job to take care of me! so yes....BOOT UP YOUR COMPUTER! she said she'll "call me back later" and that she'll "take care of me" and that was that!
so here i sitting...still waiting to hear from her.
am i being crazy that i expect better service than this from my doctor's office?
are there any girls out there who've miscarried early (only 4 weeks) and had off and on bleeding for this long??
i don't know the point of posting this except for some hugs and support and maybe any advice i can get. thanks girls 
ETA: they did a repeat beta last monday and never called me with the results so i'd really like this doctor on call to tell me what that beta number was (and i'm SURE it's in my record)

aw I have no answers for you but just wanted to send a and say that IMO you DO have a right to good healthcare and if this practice doesn't give it to you - maybe find someone who will. . . .you deserve better

is this an ob/gyn or an RE?
from the doctors point of view with the amount of times that you called im not surprised she wasnt super nice - i mean as long as you arent in pain its not going to be an emergency to the doctor. HOWEVER that being said i think if they didnt call back the first time and never called back with your beta i would prob expect more and be looking for another doctor myself. i dont think you did anything wrong and you deserve a prompt call back if you are using the emergency off hours service, and you deserve to have her take you seriously, regardless of whether or not she thinks its an emergency. so i would def look for another doctor!
soooo sorry though sounds like a lot of added stress that you didnt need

thanks girls we just got back from the ER and i'm apparently still miscarrying (i thought it was over last week when the bleeding stopped) my HCG is still dropping so i guess it's just taking longer than i thought it would. thanks for your and well wishes.

it was my obgyn. we haven't seen an RE yet but we are going for our first appt with an RE in july after all the encouragement from the girls here (including you!)  i can see how the doctor would be annoyed that i called so many times but i only did that b/c the answering service said to keep calling back if i didn't hear from the doctor. oh well. i still think she was just a little too rude considering what i'm going through. there's a lot to be said for bedside manner and i just wanted to know i was "cared for" by my doctor's office. we are gonna see the RE in july and then find a new obgyn after that.
thanks so much for the i certainly needed it today.

I am totally outraged by that "I'm standing in my kitchen" comment!!!  
I hope she calls a doctor for important medical advice one day and gets told "Sorry mam but I have to take a dump"

I'm sorry! It's not uncommom to have not naturally miscarried on your own and then to have a surprise moment like you did.
I'm sorry!
As for your Dr I have realized most Dr's on call are not really sympathetic, they are always in a rush. I would def find another DR if you are not happy with them.

 that's the part that made me sooooo mad too!!! i wasn't upset that i couldn't get in touch with her right away, i was upset about her attitude! thanks for making me laugh

im glad you are considering an RE - i dont think any RE would EVER treat you that way with an emergency call. also many REs are much more accessible so you wouldnt need to use the emergency call to begin with!!!

No you are not being irrational. Drs see things like this everyday and we do not so of course when your body is doing strange things you want answers!

Even if you are going to see an RE soon, I would switch OBs. When you do get pregnant, you may have a concern during off hours, and that is not the way you want to be treated when you call the emergency service.
