Am I crazy? Need advice about DS attending a b-day party
DS was invited to a b-day party. I've never met this family but my impression is that they are a great family from what I've heard. I have no one to watch the baby and my cousin's baby the day of the party so I asked the b-day boy's mother if I can just drop DS off. She didnt seem to have a problem at all. In fact, I go tthe impression that she would prefer this.
Afterwards, I realized what I did. I'm DROPPING my 5 year old off at a house I've never been in with people I've never met. I don't know any of the other parents or children attending the party. DS is so excited to go this party and I have no one to watch the babies.
What would you do?

Why not ask if you could hang around for a while, he is only 5, I am sure they will be okay with that. I would be.

I'm sure the party is no more than two hours??? I would hang around for a bit and pop back in and out (tell the mom you have errands to run in her area).

It is a classmate. There is an event at school tomorrow night that I'm hoping I get to meet her.
