Am I crazy to think DS is teething?
He will be 2 months old on Tuesday but he is SO fussy these last 2 or 3 days. Also, he is making alot more spit bubbles and drool, chewing on his hands when he isnt hungry, and on his lower gum in the front, I see a white dot.
I feel like this is way too soon... is it? Thanks!

Re: Am I crazy to think DS is teething?
I'm not sure if its possible, but I know that when I thought DS was teething at 4 months the peds said no its too soon, give it a coule of more months, well at 4 months he already had 2 teeth, and now at 5 months it looks like more are about to come in.
I tend to trust my mother's intuiton a little more now. YOu know every baby is different they all do things at different times.

Re: Am I crazy to think DS is teething?
I'm not sure if it could be teething so early but at our 2 month visit our Dr told us that btwn 2-3 months the salivary glands become fully developed and that they can't swallow all that drool so he said we would notice the hands going in the mouth a lot and lots of drool and bubbles. About three days after that visit Hailey started showing all the symptoms. They also typically go through a growth spurt around 2 months so that could be why he is so fussy.

Re: Am I crazy to think DS is teething?
Steven started at 2 months, first tooth at 5 months.
Although, I think that behavior you described is pretty common for a 2 month old. But it's definately possible he's teething.
At this stage, EVERYTHING gets blamed on teething

Same here with Matthew. Started teething at 2 months and got the first tooth at 5 months...
I think it's very possible for them to start teething at 2 months...

Re: Am I crazy to think DS is teething?
Someone I work with had a baby that was born with a tooth (40 week gestation). When I saw that picture I learned to say it was never to early for a baby to be teething.
