Am I crazy-wanting to prepare
My DH thinks I'm nuts because I want to go get & read baby books now.
We are not TTC, but are thinking we'll start trying end of this year.
I just like to be prepared, and know what we are getting into :)
Am I nuts for that?
(BTW- he is baby crazy, not me...yet.)

I don't think so!! It's never to early to start learning / educating yourself.There is so much to know and it never stops! FH and I are just officially starting TTC and months ago my GF gave me her copy of What to Expect When Expecting (she just had a baby) - so we started looking it at! HTH

i started with TAKING CHARGE OF YOUR FERTILITY...which is pretty good.
and now im reading the DUMMIES GUIDE TO PREGNANCY. its easy, fun, concise info about all the test and stages of pregnancy.

I personally like to be prepared also. My mom seems to believe ignorance is bliss....but I disagree. I did tons of planning just for my wedding so I figured I would need to do more for a baby! lol

When my sister had her first son I was 16 and I read all her books.

I don't think so at all! We are going to start in about a year and I already all about getting all the info I can, etc  If you're interested in finding out info on the early side, go for it!

Absolutely not... there is nothing wrong with educating yourself and preparing yourself for what's to come... In addition, most of the books tell you what you should do the first 3 to 6 months BEFORE getting pregnant... what to avoid, what to take, etc.
So there's no harm in making yourself ready now...
