Am I leaking fluid?

I just noticed my pj pants are wet, as are my undies. It doesn't seem like urine, but would I feel it? I don't feel like anything is leaking? Maybe it's just sweaty?

This might sound gross but what does it smell like? I have heard you should change your underwear and pants and wait a little while and see if it continues to happen. Good luck!!

It does have a smell but I don't know how to describe it. It's definitely not urine (ammonia like).

I just changed my panty liner and I'm going to shower in a few minutes. I guess I'll see if it gets wet again. I just figured I'd feel something drip.

I remember my last week, I was very wet and I kept thinking my water was breaking. I was so afraid of it breaking and I would miss it. Everyone would say "if your water breaks, you will know it" and I didn't believe them.

Well, my water never broke, but after the doctor broke it, I realized that people were right. even thought it didn't all gush out at once, it was leaking a lot at each contraction.

I would say you are probably just really wet like I was...BUT definately keep an eye on it.

ok I guess I'll wait it out and see. I just got nervous when it wet my pants. I just showered and got dressed, so we'll see if it happens again.

Lay down and then get up..if you feel yourself leaking...your water broke...

Hmm...you lost your mucus plug slowly and in parts, you could be leaking fluid slowly. Not everyone's water "breaks" the same..when mine did, it was this wild gush that I heard and felt. As someone above mentioned, their dr. broke it and it still was trickling.

How wet are we talking? Leaked through to your pants or solidly soaked them?

It's definitely possible that you are leaking. People say "you will know with the gush" and while I felt it at the hospital with my stronger contractions, my doctor told me when I checked in during an internal that he believed my water already was breaking before I got there and I had no idea.

One of my friends thought she broke her water (at work). She put a pad on then called the hospital. The nurse aksed her HOW MANY PADS she used. My friend said just one.... nurse: "you did not break your water sweety"..... During the phone call, my friend moved on her chair..... OMG.... it was "everywhere". She did break her water then. She was completelly soaked.

If it is odorless and colorless, it is probably fluid. I'm so excited for you!!!!

I had a lot of watery discharge the week before I went into labor. When my water finally broke as I was delvering my son, not much water came out, so I wonder if I actually had been leaking amniotic fluid the whole week before.
