Am I making it worse? ( Bedtime..Need Help)
I am not sure what I'm doing.
We are somehwat successful in removing the miracle blanket.
Now...He is too big for the swing, which he has slept in since 1 month old ( maybe lesS)
So tonight I tried the Soothing motions glider. Its bigger, flatter. In our room.
Hes still UP....he fell asleep briefly with me in the living room.
He is normally in bed by 8:30-9:00 the latest.
I want to start the crib with naps and then transition him within a month to the crib .
Im NOT READY to have him in the crib in his room yet.
Did I make it worse by using the glider tongiht as a bed?
Should I go back to the swing and slowly use the month to wean him out of it?
I feel bad for him, like Im confusing him?

I would stick with one change at a time. He did well yesterday in the swing...maybe put him back in there until next week...
Is the swing on all night or does he sleep without motion? Why aren't you ready for the crib?
Hang in there, he'll get it eventually...

Re: Am I making it worse? ( Bedtime..Need Help)
The swing is steady most of the night.
The crib is b/c his room is so far from mine and Im neurotic.....it Took us SO long to have this baby and I lost a child at birth, I think Im clinging to him and soooooo worried about him when Im asleep...

Re: Am I making it worse? ( Bedtime..Need Help)
I agree with the pp. One change a week (two max).
If you just axed the miracle blanket in the beginning of the week, I would transition toward the end of the week (especially if your DH doesn't have to work Sat & Sun).
I also think sometimes it's easier for the dads to do the transitions.
Everyone is worried about their babies sleeping the crib. I know my small house never seemed so large as when they were put across the hall. I can't even imagine having that number muliplied exponentially by the loss of a child.

Re: Am I making it worse? ( Bedtime..Need Help)
I remember when you lost your LO
Just to ease in the number of transitions maybe get a video monitor and transition to the crib next? The Summer monitor is a lifesaver because I get my DS fix and he sleeps so well every night now (10-12 hours no waking). Sometimes I turn it up so loud I can hear him breathing (usually when DH is working).
