am i the only mom that still gives their toddler milk before bed?

josh still drinks a lot and eats very little. i also still give him a sippy cup before bed. how bad is this?

wakes up- 1-2 oz. of milk
11:45am- 4 oz pediasure
4:30pm- 8 oz. pediasure
9:45 pm/bedtime- 8 oz. (4 oz. milk mixed with 4 oz. pediasure)

DS is 2 years old and still gets a 8 ozs. cup of milk before bed too.

My DD still gets two bottles a day- one before her nap and one before bed. She also drinks milk out of sippy so I know I could break this habit; I just don't see the need to at this point.

ETA: she drinks about 16 oz of milk a day total.

I stopped awhile ago because of his teeth and also I want to start to get him into the potty training thing and I was told nothing before bed.

I still give my DD 8 ozs in a bottles at bedtime. It is part of her comfort/wind down routine and I see nothing wrong with it.

I do. They get milk and then we brush our teeth and head into bed.

My son is two and a half and gets milk at bedtime, its going to be a real beeyotch habit to break...

I give him about 8 ounces of milk starting at 5pm. He usually finishes it once he's in his pjs.

Lucas drinks his milk sippy while I read to him before bed. (my favorite time)

DD still gets it right before bed. I'm so nervous about cavities though, I know it's not good for her teeth to do that

I use to give all my kids milk before bed. They brush afterwards so it's not a milk on the teeth issue. But when the time comes and you have them potty trained and are trying to night train, you will want to eliminate the late evening milk. We stopped giving it to my older son and then my DD and now the baby doesn't get it either. Once in awhile if he didn't eat well with dinner I will give him one but mostly he doesn't have it anymore.

My 18 month old still gets a cup before bed as part of her routine. I plan to ask the ped on Thursday at our visit when I should start weaning that milk out. Ill let you know the answer!

DD will be 2-years-old in 2 weeks and still gets a milk b4 bed. Not only does she get a sippy of milk.....but I still warm it too.

Nope. She has about 6 oz of milk at dinner time and if she wants a drink after that Ill give her water. She is doing really well with waking up dry in the AM and any fluids to close to bed time wouldnt help.

Nope. Cailen starts crying at 8:00 when I break out the milk bottle!

Noah gets his bottle of milk at bedtime while we rock him and read to him. Its part of his routine and he runs to his rocking chair in his room when he see's us filling the bottle.
