I don't think that you are a nut! Chat Icon Actually - I think it's smart because

1 - It's finally available and you need it
2 - If anyone else was waiting to buy it they now see it has been purchased.

Besides...you get to have more items come off the registry this way...gotta love that!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

We took stuff out of our registry.

Actually all the big items because we found great deals that we could not pass and we would have no guarantee people who have bought them anyway. Then we would be be stucked into buying them full price.

It's very hard to resist buying stuff...especially when you want to have your nursery set up. I defenitely don't expect for anyone to get us the big gifts..but if they do..hey..that's great!! My next purchase off my list will be the bedding. I just can't imagine setting up her room w/out it. If I keep it up..no one will have get anything....Chat Icon

My crib set went on sale and i was affraid it was going to go on clearance (it usually goes off the registry once its on clearance) so i told my mom i was just going to buy it now, and she said she would pay fo rit. So, it worked out well...but either way, i was getting it before it was too late.

We didn't put our crib on the registry. We are buying that along with the furniture and maybe even the carriage and lord knows what else...

I think I am buying one item this weekend...it is only available at the store and I really want it for the room, and the nearest store to us is 1 hour away, so I doubt many of my guests will travel to the store to buy it. Hey, just one more thing that I KNOW I will get! :)
