am i the only one...
... who hates how makeup feels on the face???
i went to SO's daughter's baby shower, today.
my little cousin (17) did my makeup for me. i think she did a great job. it was exactly what i was hoping for for the event.
it's been a few hours, now.
i feel gross and dirty. it feels goopy and yucky.
i feel like the only way to really get my face clean would be to use a brillo pad lol
i feel like this every time i wear a full face of makeup.
please tell me i'm not alone

Yeah, I hate the feeling of it. Maybe because I'm not used to wearing it anymore. Or maybe because it clumps up in my lines

I wear make up every single day-except if I am not leaving the house at all- and I don't ever feel it on my skin.
It feels like i am wearing nothing.
There have been times where i tried a new foundation and thought it looked great but by the end of the day I couldn't wait to get home to wash it off because it felt horrible and greasy on my skin. So I definitely get it.
I feel like if you can feel it on your skin, or it feels greasy or heavy or goopy, it's not the right make up for you or maybe it wasn't applied right.
You have to play around to find one that works for you because everyone's skin is so different so make up is very personal.

I don't love the feeling of liquid foundation so I use the powder kind- first I use a primer so the powder doesn't sit in my wrinkles and then I use the bare Minerals- Mineral veil - it's very sheer

The only thing I wear is SPF 30 facial moisturizer/cream and eye liner, and it's been that way for over 20 years. When I get a make over at Ulta, I can't stand all the foundation, powder, etc on my face. Sure - it looks better, but I feel like I can't even scratch my nose without coming back with an inch of makeup on my fingernail.

It only bothers me in the summer. I’m also very blessed to have no wrinkles at my age (genetics— my dad is over 70 and he doesn’t have wrinkles either).
I also only wear makeup when I go out for nice dinner or to work. I’ll do eyeliner, better eyeshadow and a fuller eye for going out to dinner or something like that. For work, it’s a very light foundation, with powder to set it, light eye shadow and mascara. It saves a ton of time when I get ready.

Liquid Foundation in the heat = no good for me. If it's hot and I'll be outside, I stick to powder & bronzer w/some spot coverage for imperfections
I've been loving the IT CC Cream. But even that can feel heavy if it's really hot out (I also get hot flashes and that's the end of anything on my face)

I only wear eyeliner and lip balm in the summer once my face tans.
Once my tan fades, I go back to wearing foundation and blush.

Big reason why I don’t wear makeup. I go to formal events with maybe mascara, eyeliner and a quick brush of bronzer for a hint of color. That’s me being made up. I’m pushing 50 and I don’t think that will Chan at this point.

Right now I'm wearing a tinted moisturizer by Tarte, a little blush, mascara, and an eyebrow pencil. It feels as if there is nothing on my skin. I know people love the IT Cosmetics CC cream, but that feels gross to me. It stains literally everything in my bathroom.

I find that super oily too- and i have dry skin

I hate the IT CC cream. I have dry skin and its thick and goopy to me.
I love Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in the summer - it evens me out and has spf. I wear that most days in the summer with light makeup.
I love makeup though, I think if you find the right products it won't feel like you are wearing it.

It never usd to bother me all my life. Suddenly at 38 I can’t stand the feeling of it. Sadly I have no choice as of late but to layer it on as my skin is worse than that of a pubescent pig...

I can’t stand the IT CC cream either. I like the supergoop one.
I wear makeup every day. Doesn’t bother me but I don’t know any differently.
