Am I the only one who doesn't give milk before bed?

DS has never taken a bottle or a sippy of milk before bed. He gets his last sippy of milk with dinner and then it usually goes on the coffee table while he plays/winds down for the night....

Does everyone give one before bed? What is the reasoning behind this?

I don't either. She normally has some water if she is thirsty before bed.

When he was on formula he got one at night, once he went to milk I still gave him a bottle before bed (of milk) Now that he is off the bottle he just gets a drink with dinner and that it. I will leave that cup on the table for him to drink out of while he is playing.

cookies and milk usually starts her bedtime routine, then bath, brushing of the teeth and bedtime story. If she drank too much milk during the day (which happens too often) then she gets water. Tonight she actually had fruit as her bedtime snack so she didn't have anything to drink after dinner.

Bryan gets a cup of milk with dinner.
He goes to bed a little while after, so, no need to give him another cup of milk.

I was actually wondering when the before bed milk gets drank at dinner instead?

Nope, neither of my kids ever did... As they got older, they started asking for a drink of water before bed, so I give them that...

We haven't given milk before bedtime in a long time. DD was never really into it.

I haven't given a bottle or sippy of milk since 12 months. He never drank a lot at bedtime, so ped said try not giving it to him and see how he does because if I could cut that out it would be great because that bottle/cup is usually the hardest to cut out.

Nope, never. I mean when she was a baby on just formula she got her last bottle at like 6 or 7 or whatever, but ever since solids she's gotten milk with dinner and that's it.

I nurse, so I guess *technically* she's getting milk before bed....but when we're done with that, no, she won't get anything before bed.

I never gave milk before bed. If he was thirsty I tried to give him water. It is a pain if we already brushed his teeth!

I do not give milk before bed but sometimes if she eats dinner at 6:30 the milk will last until 7:30 or so which is right before bed

DS's last bottle is at 5:30 with dinner. He is sleeping by 7 pm

I am actually shocked by how many people don't give milk before bed. This post is making me feel so much better. I don't have to give him his milk sippy as we are getting ready for bed, instead I will try and do it as we are playing beforehand.

For some reason (no clue why) I just thought I should give it to him right before he goes to sleep.

DS has his dinner and 1 hour later his milk. That's his "calm down" transition.

The milk is a minimum of 30 minutes before bed.

No. My doctor told me specifically NOT to give DD milk before bed because it can damage her teeth. If I do give her milk at night, my doctor instructed me to brush her teeth right afterwards, because the milk/calcium could damage her teeth.
