Amazing Animals @ Sands Point....I think not!
Since DD was off today, her and I decided to go to Sands Point (she's 8) instead of LICM b/c she's been there twice over the summer. Sooooo I drive up to Sands Point, and 45 minutes later we were DONE!! She turned to me and says "that's it?" and when I told her yes she says "That stinks, we should have spent your money at the Children's Museum" 
There are a bunch of lizards, snakes, a small aligator, some flying squirrls, and a few birds, but that's it. The HUGE animatronics of the animals were more interesting!!!
Seriously though, don't waste your time, gas or $$ to get in. It's sooooo not worth it!
Next time I have a new idea, I'm sticking with what I know instead!

What about the riverhead aquarium, ever been there? I wounder if thats any good.

I have never been there, but heard it's good. And the Dino walk out in Riverhead too, but I have never brought DD to either. If we were to go there and they stink at least we could go shopping!!!

IMHO go to LICM or the Bronx Zoo instead ! I told DD I owe her a trip to LICM the next weekend it's rainy ! !
