Wow, that is amazing.
My Aunt ws in a hospice in England before she died and they had a few rescue pets, both cats & dogs and all the patients really loved them, I think its a wonderful idea

I love OSCAR!
Cats are Truly Amazing.
When I was young, I had the bad case of the mumps. It was a rare outbreak in my area. I guess we got a bad batch of immunization shots b/c it didnt work! Well, i felt as if I were dying. I cried so much and my Cat never left my side and he cried when I cried. He was also very protective of me when I had visitors.

Such a sweet story!! 
I read this and sent it to everyone I know. I had a special cat in my life, too. She always knew when I was depressed, and she'd come press her wet nose on my face. I still miss her.
