Amber LOVED Kindergarten orientation!!
We went to Kindergarten orientation over at Amber's school last night. Let me tell you, the faculty did a fantastic job of putting together a great program and keeping the kids engaged. When they arrived, they were greeted by the school mascot. Then they went into the auditorium where they were introduced to staff, etc. Amber ran into a little girl she met a few weeks ago at Kohl's and they became fast buddies. They went around introducing themselves to other little kids and then everyone was ushered into the various kindergarten classrooms to meet the teachers/see what was going on. I couldn't believe the cirriculum outline and even asked where they toys were LOL! It seems like they are prepping these kids for the SAT's.
They got to go to the cafeteria and see how to buy lunch, etc. and then they went on a bus ride (without their parents) around the parking lot. She seemed so excited to be moving on with her journey to big girl school. I can't believe my little one is growing up so fast

Wow kindergarten already?! Sounds like she'll do well as for her mommy might be a little tougher.

That sounds like a great way to introduce the kids to Kindergarten!!  What school district is this? I hope my SD is as great as yours when ushering my DD into Elementary school!

Wow! SHe is growing up. I'm so glad she liked it! That bus idea is fabulous! I wish every district did that.

William Floyd. It was definitely a nice program and I was happy to see all the musical programs they offer as well.
