American Girl - Bitty Baby
Does anyone have one of these? Am thinking of buying DD one for when DD2 arrives so she has a baby to "take care of" too. The website says 3 and up - DD will be almost 2 when the baby arrives. Is she too young? Any drawbacks (other than price!)? Thanks!

No she is not too young. My DD has had them since 2 and we haven't had an issue.

Lol. The dolls are expensive. I actually saved mine from when I was younger, but DD does not like them yet at all. I am sure when she wants one she wont want my old ones - she will want the new ones.
She likes baby dolls, and likes to rock them and feed them, so I think she will like the Bitty Baby. As a mom of more than one, do you think that would be a good thing to buy her to help her adjust to the new baby?

My DD is my youngest and my oldest were boys so we didnt buy them dolls...the boys are 2.5 years apart and my DS did amazing with his baby brother. I included him in everything, even would let his baby brother lay next to him while he watched a movie. They are 9 and 6 now and the best of friends.

Re: American Girl - Bitty Baby
my girls got them for their first birthday and started really playing with them around 15- 18 months so 2 is a perfect age for it.

My DD got one when she was BORN! It was creepy- cuz it looked just like her and was similar in size. That said- she's been playing with since before she was 1 and now also has a Bitty Twin and loves both of them. We've been to the store with her for lunch as well and she loved that. We get a lot of accesories at Target- they have a line of similar dolls- same size and everything is interhcangeable.

Good to know that I can get clothes at Target for it! Hoping we can do the lunch when we go too!
