AMEX card holders
Anyone ever use their travel services? Do you find they have good prices?

Re: AMEX card holders
American Express Vacations is it's own company-- like any other travel agency that offers travel plans-- although as an AXP cardmember, you get an extra amenity when you book, and can get something called the Annual Travel Benefit- which is $200 off if you spend $3000+
As for americanexpress.com/travel, this is a private label travelocity site-- so it's all the same deals, in addition to the Amex Vacations packages AND last min deals-- brought to you by Travelocity (Site59.com).
The advantage of using /travel to book, as oppposed to another booking engine, is the ability to earn points AND the ability to pay with points-- any amount of points you have can be applied as a credit against the dollar amount of your bookings-- on flights and hotels.
Amex travel was a client of mine-- doing online marketing.

Re: AMEX card holders
Thanks Randi - this is so helpful! We're just booking flights, but at least we can still use points!

yeah-- basically, you need to log into the site so it registers how many MRP you have. Then, it shows up on your statement as a credit, with whatever the dollar value was of the points you applied to your purchase.
ALSO-- on /travel, you earn double points always.
