Amount of time needed for contract

Can you guys give me an idea of how long it took you to sign your contract from when your lawyer got the contract?

My lawyer was faxed the contract on friday and i haven't heard any news yet. im antsy!!

So call him up!!! Have him fax or email it to you. I don't know why you can't look it over while he does.

My lawyer sent me a copy of it when he got it and I was just told to review it, while he did and then we'd both sit down and address any issues, if any, that we had with the contract.

My lawyer got the first draft of the contract on Monday or Tuesday (the sellers met with their attorney the previous Wednesday). He had to make a few tweaks (standard ones) so we met with him the following Monday.

From when our offer was accepted to when we were officially in contract was 2 weeks. It was stressful because we tried to negotiate some things after the inspection and it didn't go well so they told us they were still going to show the house and accept other offers Chat Icon . Luckily, it worked out!
