amount of time to fall asleep for naps?

DS is 8 months old and takes anywhere from 15 min to 45 min to fall asleep when we put him in his crib for naps during the day. 90% of the time , he will play in there and talk and eventually fall sleep on his own. The other 10% he wants his back or stomach rubbed for a little and then we can leave and he rolls over and goes to sleep LOL.
Just wondering how old your DC is and how long is takes them to fall asleep on their own for their naps. Just want to see if its taking my DS a long time or if its average.

DD usually plays for about 5 min and then falls asleep. If the playing goes longer than that, she's usually not tired and winds up wailing after a while. If your DS needs that long to "unwind" before falling asleep, I don't think there's anything wrong with that!
