Amusement Park Review! Land of Make Believe (Hope, NJ)
FUN FUN FUN !!!!!!!!!
This park is so under-rated and under-acknowledged (if that's a word ). But that's a good thing, because it's NOT crowded at all, and it's simple, small, and sooo much fun !
I LOOOVE Dutch Wonderland, and now this park is right up there with DW
It's mostly for the 12 and under crowd, but adults and older kids will have plenty of fun too. THere are plenty of kiddie rides and rides that an older sibling or parent can go on. They have the lazy river, and a HUGE wading pool/water park/water slides section for the little ones.
They have a "Santa barn" where you walk through and see Santa at the end. they got a kick out of that. They also have a talking scarecrow which my son was obsessed with
The kids had a blast. We were there open to close. It was very well run, the staff was great. and little did we know, the day we went, it was free to the local residents. OUr first reaction was because we thought it would be overrun by crazy crowds. But it was a great day, the residents were friendly, no waits for any rides, 5 minutes at most.
It's a small park,(kinda like an old style county fair, on dirt/gravel) water rides on one side, and reg rides on the other side. You have to be dressed appropriately (you cant have a wet bathing suit on in the dry section)
IT was $20 per child and #22 per adult (yes adults are more ) and I got a buy one get one coupon (entertainment.com/freetrial print a few coupons for anywhere, free) . free parking.
just a simple, yet VERY FUN day for all.
We are definitely going back. It was also HALF the distance of Dutch wonderland (although we're still doing the Hershey/DW trip this summer).
Here's their website. LAND OF MAKE BELIEVE

Awwww my parents used to take us all the time when we were little. I barely remember it, but, my mom will bring it up once in a while. When DS is a little older, we are def. going to look into it. TY for the review.

Sounds great!
We were thinking of going there, but I wasn't sure if they had enough for the little one (20 months).
ETS: Thanks for sharing!!!
