An answer to those family members who keep asking stupid questions...
My very talented and funny friend offered me the following as an answer to nosy family members when they ask "When???"
"Well, we did some genetic testing and submitted background information and photos of our relatives... turns out there's an 80% change my child could be like you... obnoxious and socially awkward -- that's just too much of a gamble"
... and walk away...
I wish I could memorize this.

Why DO people think it is OK to ask when?
My kid sister asks all the time.......once I told her that when DH & I have sex I'll be sure to let her know
She was like ......and layed off for a while!

Lol- this is cute and so appropriate!
I'm actually skipping a baby shower soon because I can't stomach hearing this one more time. I usually just tell people "we're working on it" and walk away- but this is so much better!
My SIL and I were talking the other day and when I mentioned that I was going to lose my COBRA at the end of the year and not be able to get pregnant/have the baby before then she made some stupid comment to my 1 year old nephew saying "Tell Aunt Me that we love her just the way she is and not to change- she should focus all of her attention on you".
I know it was done to 'lighten the mood' but I wanted to reach across the table and strangle her- she has 2 beautiful kids and is already talking about #3.--- is it too much to ask for me to have 1!?!?!?!

My best friend has been answering that they are still practicing. Then she walks away with a smile. I thought that was cleaver.

I remember my idiot stepsister said something about me having kids - at the time I told her not yet, i wasn't ready - she said, "So, that means you are not going to have sex tonight?" thinking she was going to shock me. I said, "Oh, we WILL have sex. He will just have to pull out."
She got so embarassed.

That is great!! I usually tell people that we are working on it...a lot!! They get embarrassed and feel awkward thinking about it!! I just laugh...people are stupid!!
