a few reasons...
jealously over how ridiculously thin she is
i think she gives the impression of trying too hard...she always dresses to the nines
she doesn't smile a lot...doesn't come off as very friendly/approachable

She cares about her looks...
The smiling thing I can see but I wouldn't smile either for all those cameras in my face and people hating on me either
I don't know I just think she's hot and unique and I didn't get it but thanks for clearing it up

I think she gets a bad rep because she comes off as incredibly affected...but I think it's all an act to cover up the fact that she's not very smart at all...

I think she is tired of being in the spotlight all the time, maybe thats why she dosent smile. I wish she would because she has a beautiful smile!

I don't think people "hate" her per se but I think its the fact that she never smiles and comes off as "unapproachable"...when you're in a public eye day and night you have to smile sometime...

I don't hate her...she is a smart lady. She has made MILLIONS out of not being very talented, not smiling, dressing completely over the top-like and for basically just being herself.
She is actually supposed to be a very nice girl, gives lots to charity etc. Apparently I keep hearing her doing interviews and she says that she doesn't smile in pictures because she wants everyone to wonder why she doesn't smile!!
So it worked!

I really didn't know a lot about her prior to reading about her in mags and on this site. That video had me cracking up and she seemed genuinely nice and smiled a heck of a lot.

So it worked!
I have to agree, I think she is quite disliked amongst the footie fans cos she distracts Golden Balls from what he should be doing - playing bloody good football.
She does come across well in interviews, but I hate her with the blond hair, she looks better brunette with a little more weight on, eat some pasta Victoria!
Beckham played the best football of his career at Man Utd and she hated him being there, so he moved to Madrid and his game just hasn't been as good since.
