An Idea My Husband and I Have...
Hi ladies!
So my husband and I have been talking and we feel like we have a unique story about how our 14m old DD Emily was conceived and born (for anyone who doesn't know/remember Em was an IVF baby and ended up a preemie and I had a pretty traumatic and abnormal birth story). Now that some time has passed we would like to share our story through a series of podcasts and maybe a blog or some other ideas. We did a sort of "test run" podcast just to see how it would go over. We figured I should test run it first here and get some feedback.
For the sample we wanted to pick a topic that was relevant but a fairly short story so we talk about the night that we tested positive after our IVF cycle. People seemed to love that story when I did my IVF journal so I figured it was a good relate-able topic.

 I think it is great because it enhances the board experience, and it makes it more real for us.
Considering you inspired my "method" of testing and the story behind my test, I loved it. Sharing with us makes it that much more special!

An Idea My Husband and I Have...
I really liked it...you guys are just too cute on the podcast...do you know what your topics are going to be? An idea that I thought would be cool would be if your DH did a podcast from a man's perspective...I always have wondered what the guys are thinking when we are going thru this since they are not the ones physically injecting or having the procedures...just a thought

a big part of why we did it in conversation format is so that we can discuss things from both perspectives since i feel that the man's voice is hugely lacking among infertility/pregnancy/birth info.
it was actually pretty funny for me having these convos with him because i remember all of the fine details exactly, and it was funny hearing how he remembers (or forgot) things.
we havent mapped out the topics yet but im thinking we will do at least a few on the infertility experiences and then a few on the birth experience/complications and having a preemie. ive been wanting to do a blog for a quite a while too (i actually have had it all set up for a while i just havent posted anything yet  ) so i might do that too still.

if anyone has any constructive criticism on the flow, length, ease of listening or anything related to the actual production (not as much the content since this was just a sample), def let me know! thanks!

For me when I listen to podcasts what I like the most is the length...they are usually around 30 min which is a good amount of time...not too long but enough where the content could be easily discussed...you both really have clear voices so thats good and I guess the flow will be determined by the topic...I think its such a great idea and if you had a blog that would go with it I would totally read it...I love reading IF blogs!!!

I haven't had the chance to listen but I will later! I do know that if you search the podcast world, you will find a bunch! Along this journey, I've found and heard some interesting stories! Also TLC has a web series "A conception story" of video podcasts. Look on their website if you want some ideas.

thanks for the support everyone!!! im really glad people seem to like the tone and would listen to them.
when we have them mapped out better and have recorded some, i willl def post here and let you all know!! we are very excited about this!!
