AN indirect hit from this economy, but it HURTS!
So as anyone here who has had to find childcare knows how hard it is to find someone you trust to watch your baby while you work, it is just a HUGE relief to find one that you can trust.
I found the perfect person for my DS, a perfect situation for him to be in every day, and we have been so incredibly happy with his care.
I just found out that due to this economy the day care most likely will close. SHe has lost FOUR kids in the past couple of months due to parents losing their jobs.
Now because her DH company is not doing very well, they are facing losing their house. I feel horrible for them, and even though I know things are bad with the economy, this really opened my eyes to the trickle down effect it has.
I am just having a little pity party now, and hoping someone may have a suggestion for a new day care situation

Where are you located? Maybe other moms or moms to be are looking in your area, which might help keep it open???

Where are you looking? Were there any places that you checked out before selecting the place you have now that seemed good?

I am looking in Coram and west to stonybrook.
No, no other places that I looked at before gained my interest, hopefully I will see something new.

I am going through this right now...DD is being watched by my BF...her DH is getting laid off this friday so she will need to go back to work...dec. 18th will be DDs last day there, my DH will be home on christmas holidays for 2 weeks and I will have to have someone new for her as of Jan 6th.
Im hoping if i cant find anyone i trust her with by then I can have my mom or MIL watch her until we can.
