Crankypants!

Last night, we called 911 for what amounted to spit up. Yup, spit up.

DD is 2.5 months old and has had spit up before, but in my own defense this was a pretty bad spit up session-the likes of which I've never seen. Arching back, red in the face, lots of crying and some weird noises-I thought she might be choking and we couldn't calm her down so she could breath normally so I made DH call.

Of course, by the time the fire truck-with at least 6 firemen-got here, she was calm and sleeping peacefully in my arms.

I felt stupid, but at the same time, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

I am glad she is okay - you were scared - I probably would have done the same thing.

I once called the emergency night service for my doctor for poop. Yes, poop. I thought it was diarreah and she was going to dehedrate. The nurse practically laughed at me. I think we have all been there too.

Everything turned out fine so no harm done. No-one can blame you for being a concerned parent!

ON a similar topic I called the oncall Dr. around 9PM one night when DS was very small because he would not stop crying and had constant diarhhea. They couldnt' do anything then, but the next day I brought him in and we found out he had a milk protein allergy. I have never since doubted myself when I feel the need to call for help!!

You did the right thing. We are learning and unfortunately we don't get a manual with a troubleshooting section. We just do the best we can...and you did nothing to be embarrassed by. You love that little girl. Chat Icon

DH wanted to call the other night because Charlie woke up screaming and wouldn't stop. He just wanted a bottle since he missed his bedtime one. But I don't blame you for being scared. I freak when I think he can't breath.
