AND The icing on the cake...UPDATE

Grace woke up twice in the middle of the night pulling on her ear...again. Once at 3AM, once at 6AM. Grace and Mommy are exhusted. She just got over an ear infection two weeks ago. Chat Icon

She has 103.2 fever and I was supposed to work today. B/C she is sick, she cannot go to day care and I had to rearrange my work schedule. UGH. Poor kid, she is really cranky. We have a doctor appointment at 2:15 today.

We leave for Fla. in 7 days. I Chat Icon that this clears up before we fly next week.

Sorry to B!tch and complain, it has been a rough week.

UPDATE: The ped is 95% sure it is strep throat, if not then it is a bad virus.Chat Icon They cultured her and we should know more in the morning. The thing is she is not really drinking I am having to take water with one of the syringes they give you for medicine and give it to her that way. Ped said to give pedalyte ice pops too. They gave her motrin at the ped's office and her fever was still at 103. She is napping now.

I DO NOT want to end up in the hospital with her for dehydration, BTDT when she was 9 months old and it WAS NOT fun.

Any advice on how to get this kid to drink and stay hydrated? TIA

Go right ahead and complain! It seems like they get sick over and over and its so upsetting.

You definately have had a lot on your plate lately.

Complain, complain, complain away!

Let's hope that the 3am wakeup leads you to the family nap today! And take care of YOURSELF too. If momma gets sick, no one is happy!

So cut the ice pops into pieces, or cut the liquid pedialyte with water?

She said cut the liquid with water and give it to DS in a cup without a lid, that babies/toddlers love to drink like that and it is worth the mess to get them to drink it.

Re: AND The icing on the cake...UPDATE

WE had a mystery virus last weekend that was a fever and nothing else. Ears and throat were clear. lasted for days and turned out it was Roseola. Which after 3 trips to the ped they were able to diagnose once the the rash showed up. Hoping for you that it's an ear infection b/c then you'll get relief quicker than we did.
