But seriously paying off DH's student loans was such a PIA. SO happy when it was done.
My loans were minimal since I did the pay as I go plan.

I was paying $200+ a month for my loans (undergrad and grad) and when I finally paid it off, I hung the payoff notice on my refrigerator, where it still hangs many years later!!

Congrats ! That is great news! I, too, am throwing extra $$ each month to finish paying mine off by end of next year ($1800/mo)  But I killed off my private law school loans 5 years ago and the only ones left are the fed consolidated loans w Sallie Mae ... Can't wait to pay it all off when the balance goes near 10k.
