does having 16 kids mean you don't have time to do your hair aka mullet. ETA Dear Lord, the husband's name is Jim Bob?! Are they for real!
Nice to have a big family, I guess.

Re: Andall I want is one.... see this story
I saw them on TV once before and all the kids dressed alike!!! It was like all the girls' dresses were made from the same bolt of material.
I think the older kids will have to help with the younger kids. Seems unfair; not much a childhood for them.
How much real estate can the father sell to support such a big family.
The mom must have TCOYF practically memorized!!!!!
Can you imagine being PG for 18 years???
I find it a bit disturbing, but to each his own....

I think it's great if you can A: deal with having THAT many children...and B: financially take care of them all...

I do too. I saw this yesterday and I remembered that old Andrew Dice Clay nursery rhyme- "There was an old woman who lived in a shoe. She had so many children her uterus fell out."
I can't imagine the size of that house.

Me too!!!
I mean God bless them and her and everything.. but that is a little crazy IMO.. as someone else said, how can you possibly devote enough individual time to all these kids? It has to take a toll on the older siblings
Oh well ... to each his own

I saw the special on TV too. I kind of felt bad for the kids because the older kids had to 'parent' the younger one. She home schooled the kids so they didn't have too much socialization outside of the family.

I saw that special too and I think she was pregnant with the 15th. How nuts! They are a very religious family so they don't believe in birth control. I would agree with Andrew Dice Clay...my uterus hurts just thinking about that!
