Andrew went on the potty but question...

He asked to, went on it and went. But hasn't since last night. Should I just let him do this at his own pace and wait for him to ask me or should I be pushing this?

I wasn't even on planning starting this until after Baby #2.

I don't think you should push too hard, but I honestly don't think you should wait til after baby #2. I read that it shouldn't be done around the time of the birth of a new baby b/c #1 might associate having to use the potty with #2 and end up resenting #2, or really fighting the potty training and being very hostile about it.

See my ped and friends said the opposite. Not to bother now because as soon as Baby #2 is born he will regress and it will all go to waste. They told me to wait until Baby #2 was here and then start.Chat Icon

I guess I will just wing itChat Icon And just ask him if he wants to go on the potty and if he says no then move on.

I just keep Ava naked from the waist down (in a dress), when we're home and she uses the potty on her own. How about trying to put him in a long tshirt? It's been working out great for us.
