Animal in Attic (raccoon)
We might have a raccoon in our attic...no idea but it comes in at night and we don't hear it during the day..it has been going on and off like that for few week...
it made a hole in our roof!! DH closed it with aluminum but the sucker made another hole last night right next to it and got it again!!!!
we are afraid it might pregnant (or already given birth)...
anyone ever had the same problem?? if so, can you please a recommend a company that removes them??
We called 2 and they charge between 550-650 for the removal!!! trying to find someone cheaper!
TIA!!!!

Re: Animal in Attic (raccoon)
You can try this person...his price should be cheaper than what you've already been quoted. Now, I've used him once and he was able to get rid of the raccoon but I do know HD sell the traps which are easy to lure the raccoons in. This process is way cheaper ($50 for the trap) than what other raccoon trappers charge. The only difference is that they remove the raccoon for you instead of you figuring out what to do once you catch it.

Re: Animal in Attic (raccoon)
my parents had one a few years back. they got a live animal trap from the town or aspca (i believe) and were supposed to call them for pickup or bring it to them when they caught the raccoon. they didn't do this, however, because they put the animal to sleep. instead they drove it a few miles away from their house and released it into a wooded area/park (make sure it's quite a few miles away or it'll come back). then they returned the trap empty.
you can also buy your own animal trap and do the same thing. bait it with a can of cat food.
