Today PETA will be holding a huge protest outside of the Los Angeles headquarters of the juice company POM, letting people know that it funds horrific experiments on animals to sell its pomegranate juice. For those of you who aren't in Los Angeles and can't come out to the protest, there's another way you can help—by calling POM's spokesperson, Fiona Posell, and telling her how you feel about her company torturing animals for juice.

In one of POM's ridiculous experiment, pregnant mice were fed POM juice, and their week-old babies were locked in a chamber with almost no oxygen for 45 minutes, causing severe brain damage; the babies were then killed so that experimenters could dissect their brains. In another experiment, rabbits were fed POM and had their arteries severed to study erectile dysfunction. All of this just so POM can claim that its pomegranates have magical healing powers.

This morning, let’s make their phone ring off the hook! Everyone call POM's spokesperson Fiona Posell at her office at (310) 966-5810 and tell her that you won’t drink POM until it stops experimenting on animals. (You can also e-mail POM’s CEO, Matt Tupper, by clicking here.) And after you call, please repost this bulletin. i just watched that video and i am now crying.

the drink "NAKED" does NOT test on animals, please consider switching from Pom to Naked

Right, it's not blood-graphic, more sad-graphic. As an animal lover, it's hard to watch. The bunnies and monkeys especially.

I just can't beleiev they're torturing animals to make trumped up claims over JUICE

And because it's juice, it's not dangerous, so why can't they just test it on humans who also have these ailments they are trying to say it cures. I would gladly test POM juice for a few weeks to see if ti helped my headaches or whatever.

Even if you think it's ok to test on animals for medical purposes, this is way over the line..it's JUICE

I never even heard of POM juice before...I live in a cave. Usually I don't agree w/ what PETA does, but based on what I read (I can't view the video...I am an animal lover and it will surely make me cry), the animal testing they are doing is way excessive and toturous and not necessary.

As an information source is one thing (as long as it's based on fact...as with anything), but I don't believe in terrorizing people so that animals are safe. I don't know if I wrote that correctly per se. They have been know to be way agressive, and it's not right..and kinda hypocritical.
