Anne Hathaway's Long Hair Hath Gone Away
Pixie-hair fever is sweeping Hollywood, and now Anne Hathaway has been spotted with her own dramatically cropped cut.
The 27-year-old actor has always been a hair trendsetter, having gone from long layers to the Lob (aka the "long bob") in recent years. But this time, she followed the lead of freshly pixied starlets like Emma Watson, who stunned the world earlier this month when she announced via Twitter that she'd gotten a new gamine haircut. Emma wasn't the first female movie star of late to sport some short locks: Her look falls in line with the close-cropped coifs of Carey Mulligan, Michelle Williams, and Mia Wasikowska.
While Emma's and Carey's 'dos were snipped super-short, Anne's chestnut layers are longer, and parted to the side.
Why did Anne take it all off? The cut is for her role in the upcoming romantic comedy "One Day," currently shooting in London. The movie is based on the critically acclaimed novel of the same name, written by David Nicholls, and tells the love story of Emma (Anne) and Dexter (Jim Sturgess), who meet at college graduation and reunite one day each year for the next 20 years.
Thanks to high-profile roles in movies like "The Devil Wears Prada" and "The Princess Diaries," Anne seems to be known for her longer hair. But perhaps the shorter hair is a good career move: Hathaway received an Oscar nomination for her performance in "Rachel Getting Married," a role for which she wore a decidedly edgy, frayed, chin-length 'do.
Meanwhile, someone somewhere (or perhaps everyone everywhere) is totally calling her stylist ASAP to get "The Anne." Or should we call it "The Emma"?

Love pixie cuts. Wish I could pull it off. My hair is short but not pixie short. I'm not even sure I'd call her cut a pixie but I like it.

i think her hair was beautiful long, but it looks great short too. She has such flawless facial features, she can pull off any hair style.

I like the look, but not the way she has it. Her hair is too wavy for that length - it should be much shorter, IMO.

I prefer her with long hair but I still think it looks good and she can definitely pull it off. She is gorgeous
