Anniversary Gifts
Our first year anniversary will be Sept.4 and I would like some suggestions on what kind of gift I can get DH? What are the usual gifts for first year anniversary? We will be going away for seven days to Barbados for our anniversary but I would like to give him something nice. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!

Re: Anniversary Gifts
Congrats - my 2nd is Sept 3rd!
For our first we went traditional - paper. We flew to Montreal (tickets) and I gave DH a GC (paper) for an in-room massage. DH gave me some beautiful paper gifts - some fancy notecards, a little notebook (I always carry one around with me and this one is perfect) and some other things.
Stumped on what to do for our 2nd...

Re: Anniversary Gifts
I just found this website on Anniversary gifts...I thought it would be a good point of reference Anniversary Gifts
Since traditional and non-traditional for 1 year are paper and clocks...what about some of the following?
* make a list of the 100 things you love about him and write it out neatly on nice paper and put it in a frame for him, or even fold it and seal it with a wax seal like they did in the old days so he can keep it in his bedside table or something nice like that
* gift certificate to a nice massage *tickets to a favorite sporting event * "love coupons" for a romantic dinner, massage, favorite ahem...favor...and any other interesting-creative things you can come up with * small scrapbook with pictures of you from when you were dating through your engagement, marriage and first year together. * for the clock thing what about a nice watch with a message engraved on the inside of it? * the day of what about leaving him little notes all over the house/apartment...that he'll find as he's shaving, getting dressed, etc. with little reminders of how you love him or memorable things that have happened to you over the years.

Thanks. I am definitely going to check it out.

Re: Anniversary Gifts
I was going to do a scrapbook of our first year together, but realized I don't think I'm going to have time to get it done b/t work, school, and teaching...but then I found the photobooks on shutterfly - I think I'm going to do that for our first anniversary. You can even add captions, if you want.

I have an account with kodak gallery so will I be able to find the photo books on there?
