Another baptism question - seating cards?
What are your thoughts about seating cards at a baptism? We have pretty much three distinct groups of people coming... my fam, dh's fam, and our friends. Do you think seating cards are necessary? Tacky?

oh, good!!! i'm hoping people say they don't mind them... i think it would take the guesswork out of some potentially uncomfortable situations between family members

I think it can go either way. I had lots of different groups but opted not to do them. I figured people would just sit where they want to. It worked fine for us. However, if you have the time and the engery, go for it!

I'm going to do them because we have a small handful of random people that don't "belong" to a specific group and I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable figuring out where to sit.
If you have time and want to, go for it! Definitely not tacky.

If you are having a big party and especially at a place, I think it's a great idea. It takes the guess work out of "where do I sit". Even a small party at a place can be confusing, I've been to them.

I don't think I'm doing them. Seating cards always stress me out. Everyone will just have to put their mingle hats on.
I don't think its tacky at all if you do decie to do it.
