Another Chihuahua?- With Photo.
So, i think i'm getting another chihuahua.
The breeder I use has a chihuahua that she placed in a home, but it didn't work out.
she's bringing him to me on Monday... i hope it works out- he's about a month younger than Molly..
the only thing, is she said he's a marker- he isn't neutered- so i'm going to do that next week (hope if helps)... any other suggests on dealing with marking boys?

Um...... my Lukin was a marker an it is HORRIBLE. I dont want to discourage you.. but i would tell you to get another one.
It ruins everything. Somethings you dont even notice they mark. And if he does it in places you dont know (which is often) it will SMELL!!!
And he will pee on everything new you bring into your home.
BUT then again he isnt fixed yet, so it depends.
How old is he? If he's over a year he is probbaly set in his ways.
Lukin is fixed. I fixed him too late. He is ALOT better, BUT he STILL pees on two things in the bathroom.
And we didnt know he was marking the corners of the couch until it showed up in a picture i took.

Yes
It's Fortune.
He's JUST a year- so I think there's still time.
We'll probably neuter him this week.
I'm going to get him some belly bands- and he's going to have to be watched 24/7- he's going to have to earn our trust to not mark.
Also- we'll have to walk him a lot so he can mark outside where he's allowed to.

He's ours if we want him :)
So, we're going to see how it works out with Molly & the two cats.

OK well I have him here.
He is TOTALLY a marker.. but he's been OK in the house. I have the belly band on him and he'll be neutred within the week.
They are both in my bed right now sleeping like good little babies.
Anyway- he's good- I gave him a bath- he was a little stinky- and he's a little sad- I guess he's been passed from house to house... poor little guy.

awww, that is soooooo cool that you got him...he is adorable!
The pug was a marker (still is sometimes) and I used curry powder in the placed he used to mark...the smell would turn him off and eventually he became a good pug.
Just be careful ...the curry can stain
