Another dumb Ipod question from me!
Can anyone tell me how to change the setting on itunes so that it does not automatically update my ipod when I plug it in to the computer?
I am new to this.....and I am would like to update the ipod when I want to, not when I plug it in!

I'm sorry - I have no clue! I'm still trying to figure out how to get my ipod from BLASTING on the bose dock at 3am!!! It scares the $hit out of me EVERY TIME!!!

 It's sort of like me trying to get my DH to not talk & yell in his sleep at 3 AM everynight!! I'm clueless too!Scares the ever livin' sh*t outta me!!

Try this: Go to Edit->Preferences. On the general tab, uncheck "Check for updates automatically."
Then, if you do want to check for updates later, go to Help-> Check for Updates.
